Is the steam safe for my eyes ?

Yes! The steam is not hot but is released at body temperature - similar to a humidifier or facial steamer. You can choose between 100°F (38°C), 104°F (40°C), and 108°F (42°C). All of these temperatures are gentle and 100% safe for your eyes.

How often should I use the device? Can I use it every day ?

We recommend using our steam therapy device for 5 minutes in the morning and evening to enjoy instant relief that lasts all day. However, if you'd like to use it for longer, that's absolutely fine too!

What is the highest temperature the steam reaches?

Our steam therapy device offers 4 heat settings, which you can adjust using the temperature control button. The default setting provides cool or lukewarm steam, with no heat. When you select a heating level, you can choose between 100°F (38°C), 104°F (40°C), and 108°F (42°C). All of these settings are gentle and 100% safe for your eyes.

How to clean the device?

Every two weeks, we recommend filling the steam therapy device with distilled water and allowing it to run until the reservoir is completely empty twice. This helps ensure optimal performance and cleanliness.

Can the device develop mould? How can I prevent mould from forming?

Thanks to the design of our steam therapy device, mould growth is almost impossible. Since it uses ultrasonic technology (similar to that of a modern humidifier), no internal components remain damp.
If you're concerned about the water reservoir or silicone eye case potentially developing mould, simply unscrew the lid, remove the silicone eye case, and allow them to air dry naturally.
To date, with all the steam therapy devices we've sold, we've never received any complaints about mould!

Should I keep my eyes open or closed when using the device ?

You can do whatever works best for you! We recommend using the steam therapy device for 5 to 10 seconds at a time, with your eyes open, alternating between both eyes for about 5 minutes. However, this is just a suggestion! Feel free to do what you prefer. If you'd like to keep your eyes open with continuous steam for 5, 10, or even 15 minutes, that's perfectly fine. If you prefer to keep your eyes closed, that's absolutely doable too.
